About Us

Galerie Kaolin

Galerie Kaolin sets off to be a contemporary art gallery focusing on showing studio ceramics and sculpture, inheriting the "Atelier Céramique de Michelle Dethurens" which is a ceramics institution for almost 40 years in Carouge, Switzerland.

Galerie Kaolin continues to be an artist studio directed by two ceramicists, Janine de Founes and Evrim Ozkan Yazici.

The Legacy of Michelle Dethurens

Galerie Kaolin is the new incarnation of Atelier Céramique de Michelle Dethurens which is a ceramics institution for almost 40 years in Carouge. She is one of the great dames of ceramics.

It is our beloved ceramics studio where we, Janine and Evrim, have developed our artistic approach and craftsmanship under Michelle’s keen eye and contributed many exhibitions.

Now, we would like to continue her legacy of exhibiting outstanding international and swiss artists such as Karin Bablok, Elke Sada, Hannah Tounsend, Francoise Kindler, Lea Georg, Tjok Dessauvage, Aline Favre, Monique Sandoz and many others.

We are beginning our journey by participating Parcours Céramique Carougeois 2022.

Parcours Céramique Carougeois 2022

Following the footsteps of Michelle as one of the founders-key contributors of Parcours Céramique Carougeois, Galerie Kaolin takes part 17th addition of PCC.
